- Finn Juhl Side Chair Model-108 in Teak and Leather; Denmark, 1946
Finn Juhl Side Chair Model-108 in Teak and Leather; Denmark, 1946
Sophisticated side chair Model-108 (designed in 1946) in teak and leather by the venerable Finn Juhl (1912-1989). Outstanding ergonomics make this petite chair one of the most comfortable seats we've come across; and the experimental engineering of the frame creates an open, suspended impression, making this one of his most memorable forms. The ebony spacers used here and on many other successful seating designs by Finn Juhl, allow the seat and backrest to be positioned in the most ideal location for the sitter; again, providing unparalleled support and comfort for the body. This historical design, having been executed originally in 1946, is incredibly forward looking and would clearly influence the language of Danish design for decades to come.
