Gorgeous Georgian style side chair in Cuban mahogany with original tapestry upholstery, expertly carved ball-and-claw feet, and an Eastern-influenced flowing back-splat. The design filling the hooped back is unique; being an open convex strap-work in the form of a shell supported by a flat double loop merging into the curves of the uprights. This chair has a regal stance and its pattern was likely conceived by Thomas Chippendale.
