Pair of 'Tavolinetto' End Tables by Angelo Montaperto in Walnut and Cherry, 2017
A pair of limited edition 'Tavolinetto' end tables in walnut and cherry designed by Angelo Montaperto, handmade by Montaperto Studios-2017. This particular form was inspired by Italian modern design of the 20th century, as well as the American Studio Craft Movement. These pieces, constructed from sustainably-sourced, rustic-grade black walnut, feature natural imperfections such as knots, inclusions, sapwood etc; these idiosyncrasies make each example unique, and add to the character of this organic design. Traditional cabinetmaking and finishing techniques were used throughout; mortise and tenon construction, hand-shaping with rasps and spokeshaves and hand-rubbed linseed oil and shellac finish. Wood species and finish options available.
